Big Idea: God is always the winner.
Key Verse: 2 Samual 23:12
Thoughts: The story of Shammah and the Philistines could be a good illustration to walk through. Verse 10 also has the same phrase, “the LORD brought about a great victory.” David’s mighty men and this idea is what we’re trying to get across. God is always the winner. The idea is, if God is with us…we win too.
Note to Parents: Many times we live as though God isn’t going to win. We worry, get anxious, we lack faith. Think about what it might look like living as though God wins, get one thing down, and discuss it as a family. God wins, so let’s live like it.
